![]() Knives have a high dps as their handling are usually high (this means a lower stamina cost NOT increase swing speed as the game says) so they can blitz through nests. One handed weapons are a balance between the night hunter and the nests. However using them to destroy nests will take a lot of time. Two handed weapons will do a lot of damage against Night Hunters if you can time it right and, if strong enough, will usually kill them in one hit. Weapons: Guns do very low damage against a Night Hunter. ![]() Camouflage and Cloaking Potions are useful against the Night Hunter If you are tagged by the yellow spit of the Night Hunter, get somewhere above ground (that requires climbing to get to) so the exploding horde can't get to you You can dropkick, tackle and one-hit kill by a death from above the Night Hunter (I believe these require progression in your survivor skill tree) The Night Hunter can be killed by spikes in the enviroment like zombies in singleplayer Stick together, it's easier for the Night Hunter to kill you when you're alone Your goal is to destroy nests, not kill the night hunter, so don't wait around for it to respawn if it's dead So if you need to craft something be quick. Although the Night Hunter cannot enter actual safe zones without dying, they are still able to kill you while you're in an open one. However it can still pounce you so don't let your guard down, the UV block will end if it pounces. Don't waste your UV flashlight while the Night Hunter has activated UV block (when it turns white). Make sure you have a good stock of flares, they'll be useful when your UV flashlight is low/disabled/ when you're attacking nests as they act as temporary safe zones The Night Hunter requires a full stamina bar to pounce and even a quick flash of your UV flashlight will reduce its stamina bar ![]() ![]() It can interrupt the Night Hunter's pounce (one-hit kill). Try not to waste your UV flashlight - it's the most important defense against the Night Hunter. (Such as playing Killer or Survivor in Dead by Daylight) I feel that in PvP, especially when the 2 sides are different, the only way to be truly good at one is to also have a good understandng of the other. The tutorial will teach you about the way the Night Hunter plays and the Wiki will give you tips from both sides. A good way to do this is to play the Be the Zombe tutorial or read the Wiki. I'd say first would be understanding the abilities of the Night Hunter in PvP and how to combat each one. We do encourage original content, however.
